If you’ve ever wanted to know what it’s like to live like “The Greatest,” now is your chance. The sprawling southwest Michigan estate of the late heavyweight boxer Muhammad Ali is now up for sale and can be yours for the price of $2.895 million.
The 81-acre property, located in Berrien Springs, — roughly 60 miles southwest of Kalamazoo — has been listed by the Ali family. The listing is being shown through Cressy & Everett Real Estate and broker Tim Mitchell.
Possibly the most interesting part of the estate is the private gym that features a full-size boxing ring, workout equipment, training tables, steam room, private baths, massage room, laundry and hot tub spa.

“It’s a phenomenal piece of ground and the location is tremendous,” Mitchell said. “It’s spectacular. It’s so quiet there. When you get in there, the serenity and peacefulness of the property, you could surely unplug.”
Houses on the property include the main living house and a carriage house. The main house offers four bedrooms, a family room, expansive living area and a full kitchen that has imported tile and a large pantry. A three-car garage is also attached to the main house. This is the house where Ali lived.
The Carriage house is a private guest house that includes multiple bedrooms, a sun room and deck and is located near the main house. Also on the property are several garages, barns, and an office epicenter that served as Ali’s personal office space.
The offices include a mail room, vault, full kitchen, loading ramp and several additional office spaces according to the listing.

The property includes an outdoor, in-ground pool that is centrally located to the main house and the carriage house. The pool area includes a bath house, restrooms and an outdoor cabana with a full kitchen. The outdoor kitchen includes appliances, grills and is located under a barreled rooftop.
A gazebo, fireplace, outdoor seating areas and various gardens are also part of the expansive parcel. The property itself has more than a mile of frontage on the St. Joseph River. Mitchell says the property is in immaculate condition and has been maintained by the same groundskeeper for more than 15 years.
“You have to see it to really appreciate it. The annual flowers are planted each year by the nursery next door,” Mitchell said.

Ali and his family had not lived at the property for several years prior to his death, but owned the estate since 1986. Muhammad Ali died just over two years ago at the age of 74 in Phoenix.
